Privacy policy

Who is responsible?

Bram Gerritsen is responsible for the processing of personal data by Playdaily, at www.playdaily.eu and in the Android app. For questions and privacy requests, email [email protected].

What data do we use?

When you play without an account, we link your progress to a random browser identifier. With an account, we store an internal account ID, your email address, verification status, your Google account identifier if you use Google, your chosen public name, language and preferences. We store game progress, answers, scores, favourites and group memberships. For child profiles, we store the chosen nickname, language, avatar, stickers, stars and optional public leaderboard settings. A parent PIN is stored only as a secure hash. We do not receive your Google password or store payment details.

Technical data and security

We process your IP address, country inferred from it, session data, game actions, timing and limited input data to secure the service, suggest a language, investigate errors and identify unfair play. For some games, we check a recording of game controls. Security assessments may affect leaderboard participation. You can contact [email protected] about an assessment. We do not use this data for advertising or tracking your activity on other websites.

Why do we process data?

We process account and game data to provide the service you request and keep progress across devices. Security, error investigation and abuse prevention rely on our legitimate interest in keeping Playdaily reliable. Accounts are optional. Parents manage child profiles and decide whether a nickname appears on the public children's leaderboard; child profiles are private by default.

What can other people see?

Your chosen leaderboard name and scores may be public. Group names, names and scores are visible to group members. Child profiles appear on the public children's leaderboard only when a parent enables this and chooses a public nickname. Do not use a real name or other personal information as a public nickname.

Service providers and transfers

Our hosting and email providers process data to deliver the website, database and login emails. Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the website and may run a Turnstile check. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and technical request data. If you use Google sign-in, Google processes the necessary authentication data. These parties may process data outside the European Economic Area under their applicable processing arrangements and safeguards. We do not sell your data or use advertising SDKs. The Android app opens the same Playdaily website through your browser.

Cookies and device storage

We use necessary session cookies and browser storage for sign-in, language, player selection, favourites and temporary progress. A session expires after a maximum of 30 days without activity. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser, which may remove guest progress. When deleting an account, we clear Playdaily storage for that account on the device used for deletion; other devices refresh their session when next used.

How long do we keep data?

Account data, the latest account and player information, preferences and game progress are kept while your account exists. Technical game actions, recordings and derived security measurements are cleaned up within a maximum of 30 days. Leaderboard access decisions belong to the account and remain until account deletion. Expired sessions are automatically removed. Account deletion immediately removes associated data from the active database. Backups expire within a maximum of 30 days and are used only for recovery.

Your rights and account deletion

You can request access, correction, a copy or transfer of your personal data, restriction of processing or deletion. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it. Email [email protected]; we may verify your identity. You can also delete your account yourself using Delete account. You can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Changes

We update this policy when the service or processing changes. This page shows the date of the latest change. We inform users of significant changes through the service.
